Weather/Regional skyboxes

We all know that, at least for now, we can only choose one skybox for our worlds. That skybox is applied to your entire world, and it’s pretty much the only light source available (as in the sun).
Custom light sources are already confirmed to be added to the game at some point, so i’ve thought of something different: Weather and Regional skyboxes.
You place down a cube which you can right click and enter a ‘‘settings’’ menu. In this menu you will be met with options such as:

Area: The area which your regional skybox takes place, you can adjust it by typing a X Y Z value.
Skybox: How you want the skybox to look like. Ex: Sun, clouds, sky bottom and horizon, and other settings such as water color.
Custom sounds: What sort of sounds you want to play in your skybox. Ex: rain, thunder etc..
Custom particles: What sort of particles appear in your skybox. Ex: Falling rain, fog, snow, falling leaves etc..
You can place multiple regional skyboxes, the settings would apply to each one individually.

This would allow the builder to make different stages for their game, and give a sense of progression. Example: An obby game, that gets darker and darker as you progress.
