Blokoto!
The name of the game will be Blokoto! A shortening for Blocky Kommunity Toolbox. It will completely replace the name of Bricknix project during the following next weeks.
Why not Bricknix?
Why does the Bricknix name was put away? When you stop to think about it, what comes to your thinking? It’s very clear that if you’re already used to the project and knows it, you gonna link the parts instantly, but what about somebody who doesn’t knows?For someone who have never seen this name, it can be related to a bunch of things: LEGO related games of building generally are the first option, just because of the word Brick, or even an operational system, greek gods or simply nothing (in german) because of the word Nix. That was a nonsense name that needed to be thrown on fire, with all due respect of course.I know many of you liked the name. I also used to like it too, but the change had to be made.
The difficulty to find this damn name
We only know how difficult is to name something when we got to do it. Since the name of your son on the dog, and in my case, the game’s name. At the same time internet is something endless, it is also limited only by the size of human creativity. And the most part of this creativity was mined during a dark period of internet: the Web3. Every. Single. Name that i found for the game was already acquired by some project, game or even a scam based in crypto and Blockchain.
At the end of line, some alternatives were available: Shapeaton, Nixstation, Super Duper Forge and Shapenix, with the latter one discarded by evident reasons. Nixstation was really similar with Playstation, something which could start some trouble about what is the game, and Shapeaton has an odd pronounce. Moreover, almost every name we had the attempt to create got a hard pronounce. Super Duper Forge had a pronounce as the same form Bricknix used to have: it was nonsense
