Well what if a person says to another person via private chat or game chat that you should visit this link and sends a malicous link (or one of those iploggers) and then threatens the player. Well yea ik u cant really do that much with ip adresses, but we arent guarenteed that the victim does really know this so it might scare the person. and the rest goes on if they try to threaten or whatever (im writing this because 3-4 hours ago i saw some kid falling at this ) anyways it might be a bad experience for them so im suggesting blocking malicous links in any text field in game. Banning links from Grabify or IPLogger might help for phising or other kind of links i dont know maybe adding a system that sends the links to the Virustotal and decides what to do according to the result might help
The chat will be constantly watched by itself, as we are able to see this warning message displayed when we first open it, and obviously the staff can be sometimes on the search for any inappropriate content a bad player might have into his private conversation, so that’s nothing kind of too dangerous or not cared about enough.
“For your safety, the moderation team is able to see your messages if needed.”
Talking about the links, they can simply be blocked and not functional at all, or even blocked to be shared if any link syntax might be detected, which can bring some sort of “security barrier” for the person who is too innocent for leading with unknown or risky things yet.
But there is no guarantee on avoiding risks for the player at all, getting into the matter of he possibly being a victim from a bad guy at least, but only remains the minimum care and advice about these situations that begins from the platform.
